在托馬斯看管的一個派對上，一個叫做索菲亞的女孩自殺，引起了這幾個少年生活的一場波瀾。庫克（傑克?奧康奈爾 Jack O'Connell 飾）因兜售毒品被警方認定為是凶手而被關進了監獄。而納奧米（莉莉?拉芙萊斯 Lily Loveless 飾）在警方問話中的吞吞吐吐引起了女友艾米莉（凱瑟琳?普雷斯科特 Kathryn Prescott 飾）的懷疑，發現納奧米曾跟索菲亞發生過關係。艾菲（卡雅?斯考達裏奧 Kaya Scodelario 飾）在三角關係中最終選擇了弗雷德（盧克?帕斯誇尼洛 Luke Pasqualino 飾），卻因為因為精神狀況出了問題，被送進醫院治療。她的主治醫師約翰因為愛上艾菲而對她催眠。
