布朗神父（Mark Williams飾演，他是哈利珀特係列裏的Arthur Weasley，英國喜劇演員，編劇和主持人）是切斯特頓筆下的著名偵探，矮個子，圓腦袋，身材胖兒可愛。手邊常有一把標誌性的大雨傘，他天性怕羞，說話有些結巴，看起來憨厚純真，似乎與探案不搭邊，卻大智若愚，有著很銳利的直覺。
