這部劇集由《愚人善事》（My Name Is Earl）創作人Greg Garcia打造。故事講述23歲的Jimmy Chance與一個女人一夜風流之後，對方竟生下了他的女兒。更糟的是，這個女人隨後被判處死刑，Jimmy必須獨自撫養這個孩子。
