彼得武（北野武 飾）是日本娛樂圈一顆耀眼的明星，他同時身兼主持人、導演、演員等多種身份。生活富裕，風頭無兩。他終日裏乘坐勞斯萊斯，遊走於各大秀場。在此期間，彼得武還要和經紀人（大杉漣 飾）探討下一部戲的計劃，始終不得閑暇。所有的人都希望在彼得武的電影裏出演角色，他們趨之若鶩，瘋狂至極。 某天，一個龍套演員（寺島進 飾）向彼得武推薦一個誌願者，這個染著黃毛、衣著光鮮且表情木訥的家夥竟然和彼得武的容貌一模一樣。彼得武甚感好奇，於是接納了這個名叫北野（北野武 飾）的便利店員。但自此之後，彼得武和北野便仿佛墮入一個混亂的噩夢之中，他們之間的界限漸次模糊……
